LOVE OF THE RIVER TO THE OCEAN

One day, when one small River got acquainted with the waters of another, much larger than herself, she learned about the existence of Ocean. He was handsome and strong. It was said that his shores are so wide that they are not visible beyond the horizon. River became very curious. She had never heard of such a thing. Is there really someone or something as amazing as they say about him?! River was by nature very inquisitive. She was always attracted by the unknown. For this the streams condemned her. The plains and mountains that watched her from the side did not understand at all. But she kept rushing somewhere into the distance, towards the new and wonderful. At least that's what she wanted to believe. She looked in her difficult present for signs of a better future. And she always found them. It seemed to her that life is so diverse and amazing that you should not linger in one place. And so, when the chance fell to get acquainted with Ocean himself, she could not help but take advantage of it. Despite her young age, River has seen enough on her way, but, approaching the waters of Ocean, she froze for a moment, as if enchanted. She felt herself losing speed. A strange emotion seized her. She seemed to have become someone or something else, hitherto unfamiliar to her. Finally, she met mighty Ocean. He aroused in her a feeling of awe and delight. She could not now imagine her existence without him, without the very one whom she loved with all her heart. She always knew that he exists, he is somewhere, and they will certainly meet. And now he was near, dear and close. He was taking possession of her, with such greed and tenderness at the same time that she could not help but love him. All her insides burned from the tides of his immense passion. Their waters caressed each other. His stream was piercing her river mouth. She died and was reborn many times. She gave herself completely to him, gradually dissolving in his countless waters. From a fresh river, she turned into a huge ocean. She was becoming a part of him. She was already a part of him, whether he wanted it or not.

"How strange. It’s like I’m just now recognizing myself. And something in me is awaking." River thought.

And in her, however, something new was awakening. The future life was being born. Many lives. Gradually, they turned into independent rivers and streams, each rushing in its own way. They were aiming for the same goal, as far and as deep as possible into their own worlds.
